Terms of Service
Last updated: July 17, 2026 · This document is provided in English.
These terms govern the use of the FloodSight platform operated by SORA Technology Co., Ltd. By accessing FloodSight you agree to these terms on behalf of yourself and the organization that provisioned your access.
The service
FloodSight is a flood simulation and risk-analysis platform. It runs rainfall-driven inundation models over pre-loaded regional terrain data and produces depth maps, extent layers, facility-exposure assessments, and exportable reports.
Access and accounts
Access is provisioned per organization. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential, for the activity that occurs under your account, and for ensuring the information in your profile is accurate. We may suspend accounts that compromise the security or integrity of the service.
Acceptable use
- Do not attempt to gain access to data or accounts beyond your organization's scope.
- Do not probe, disrupt, or overload the service or its infrastructure.
- Do not misrepresent FloodSight outputs as official warnings or forecasts.
Decision-support disclaimer
FloodSight is a scenario-planning and preparedness tool. Its simulations are physically grounded but are not a real-time forecasting system and are not a substitute for official meteorological or hydrological warnings. Operational decisions — including evacuations and emergency response — must rest on the judgment of the responsible authorities and all available sources of information.
Intellectual property
The platform, its models, and its interface remain the property of SORA Technology. The simulation outputs generated for your account may be used freely within your organization's disaster-management work, including in briefings and public preparedness material.
Availability and liability
We work to keep FloodSight available and accurate but provide it "as is", without warranty of uninterrupted operation or fitness for a particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, SORA Technology is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from the use of the service.
Changes
We may update these terms as the service evolves. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated to partner agencies directly.
